Personal Summary

First and foremost, husband to a wondeful wife and a proud dad of a little girl.

I consider myself to be the subject matter expert for every role I've held so far in my professional carrier. I've never backed down from a challenge.

My life motto is "I don't have problems, I just have more work to do!" or the shortened version "No problems, just work!"

I competed in powerlifting for over six years and held many world records during my time. I competed in the 165lb weight class and had a bench press of 405lbs, squatted over 600lbs, and deadlifted over 550lbs.

I've also worked with my hands for many years, which includes electrical, plumbing, installing tile floor, and as a family mechanic.

If you need help with a project, I probably have some experience that could help you.

Did I mention I'm not your average I.T. guy? There is nothing I can't do.

Who/What is a DevOps Engineer?

DevOps Engineer is somebody who understands the Software Development Life-cycle and has the outright understanding of various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines).

DevOps Engineer works with developers and the IT staff to oversee the code releases. They are either developers who get interested in deployment and network operations or sysadmins who have a passion for scripting and coding and move into the development side where they can improve the planning of test and deployment.

My next goal is to land a gig as a DevOps Engineer!

With my management, development, systems, and network background, it makes me the perfect candidate to be a successful DevOps engineer.

American Doctors Online - Internship

I.T. Specialist
Jan 2011 - Nov 2012

American Doctors Online was the first-to-market telemedicine company that focused on bringing telemedicine to nursing homes. The problem they wanted to solve was to avoid hospital transfers, which is costly to nursing homes and patients. They deployed computers on carts with high-definition web cameras, which allowed doctors to examine and determine if a patient needed to transfer to a hospital.

This was my first job on the career path I wanted, and truthfully, it was a little scary. Nevertheless, I was up for the challenge.

"No problems, just work!"

Working at American Doctors Online brought to light that I needed to grow professionally, and quickly, or I was going to drown. I was the only I.T person on staff, supporting nurses, doctors, and multiple nursing home facilities, which meant I needed to self-teach myself a lot of new things. Those new things included managing a Microsoft Exchange server, firewalls, switches, and routers that provided internet access for secure web conferences for doctors and patients, and general office equipment management.
